Kanye the Billionaire
Recently, Forbes Magazine declared Kanye West as a billionaire. The self-made fashion and music magnate is infamous for doing things his way and for forging a path by standing strong in his beliefs. The declaration of his billionaire status was no different. Unsurprisingly, the news was announced with polarizing tension, as West stated that his actual net worth is far larger than reported by Forbes, professedly texting Forbes, “It’s not a billion. It’s $3.3 billion since no one at Forbes knows how to count.” All jokes aside, no matter the actual number, the fact is that West has achieved something that most people only dream of through hard work and perseverance. Despite his challenging journey, and splitting tendencies, West has proven that anyone with self-confidence, persistence and abnormal work-ethic can achieve whatever they want – regardless of what others may think of them.
Indeed, West never considered the opinions of others with respect to his aspirations. Many doubted him as a hip hop artist – when he first started his career. He was often told that he could only be a producer. Later on, after winning his first Grammy West said, “Umm, when I had my accident, I found out at that moment nothing in life is promised except death. If you had the opportunity to play this game of life, you need to appreciate every moment. A lot of people don't appreciate their moment until it's passed.” His heartfelt speech still echoes his actions today. Yeezy never takes a moment for granted and goes for what he believes in wholeheartedly. He had a grand vision for the future of his career as a producer, artist, and mogul, and now his fashion line “Yeezy” has revolutionized athleisure style and footwear, and set a new standard for self-made entrepreneurs.

Since his recent faith transformation, Ye has made it clear that his motive is to transform the lives of people the best way he can. His transition in life – throughout his many stages- has forged his character and willpower to a level that is unimaginable to most.
