Family time can mean different things to different people. We all come from various backgrounds, cultures and schools of thought. That being said, one thing that remains universal is that family time is important. Often, family time translates into game time, conversation or movie time. Not everyone likes board games, some people like cards, others watching movies together or cooking with one another. No matter how you define and enjoy your quality time together as a family, we encourage you to make the most of the free time you may have now, and share it with us.

Due to recent events, most if not all of us, are home for an indefinite period of time. Though some of us have the capability of working from home, others don’t. Regardless, the nature of being home with our family means that we have a little more time to interact with our loved ones personally. We have some free time to find creative indoor family activities.  Whether it’s playing chess, checkers, cards, scramble, battleship, tic-tac-toe or charades and any other trivia game, we have the opportunity to bond like never before. We can binge-watch new movies, shows or catch up on lost seasons. We can listen to unheard albums and discover new artists, or we can simply sit down together and get lost in the adventures of a wonderful novel. (Related: Savings Costs on Recreational Activities)

Because these ideas don’t require special supplies, they are perfect for last minute ideas and for those of us who are staying indoors. Remember, not all family games need to be competitive. That being said, there’s nothing wrong with a little friendly competition. We love playing family games and these times have given us a chance to build memories together.
